      [Note: The following day was the wedding of Grandma Sollars "Adeline Sollars" to Charles Herrin in Carter County.]

      Millie Pace was 2nd wife. She died 17 yrs ago. They had no children of their own. They raised 7 orphans. Two years later he married Mrs. Rena Davidson of Piedmont. They divorced in 1914. In 1917 he married Mrs. Adeline Sollars (one of his childhood acquaintances) who still survives him. He was born in Illinois and came to Missouri in 1855. He served in 13th MO US Cavalry and the 7th Kansas Volunteer Cavalry. After the war he purchased a farm in Carter County.

      Mrs. Herrin, relict of the late Charlie Herrin, died last Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the home of her
      daughter, Mrs. Lettie Agers. Mrs Herrin was sick quite a while and all that loving hand could do could
      not hold her here any longer. He death was due in part to the infirmities of old age. She leaves a
      daughter, several grandchildren and many friends to mourn her death.The bereaved daughter, Mrs.
      Agers and family, have the sympathy of the community.
