"Hayti Man Suffers Hand Injury in Unusual Accident
Dr. J.V. Moore is Hurt When Outboard Motor is Jolted into Boat with Him
Dr. J.V. Moore, Hayti veterinarian, suffered a serious injury to his left hand Sunday afternoon about 5 o’clock in a motorboat accident on the river front here. According to one of the witnesses to the accident, Dr. Moore’s outboard motor struck some submerged object, tore loose from its moorings, and jumped into the boat with him, and in doing so the propeller of the motor struck his hand, mangling it badly."
